Pretty Nourished Motherhood: Featuring Hayley Burchell

I met this beauty through a job I had worked with her husband on. I remember him telling me about his wife and I was thinking to myself, " Im pretty sure we would be best friends." This beautiful soul has so much yummy food stuff on her instagram and information on natural motherhood and holistic living. Check out why she gets ready for the day and how she puts her best foot forward.

Why is it important to you as a mom to get ready for the day?

I find I am more productive when I feel “put together”. Getting ready for the day means washing my face, brushing my teeth, and wearing something semi-cute and putting on a little make up. I feel I’ve accomplished something before actually doing anything. It’s a step in the right direction to honor myself and go after all God has for me in the day.

How many kids do you have? Do you want more?

2 boys- ages 7 and 2. Yes, I want one more! However, God will have to change my husband’s heart because he is DONE. We will see...I’m in no hurry. ; )

What is one thing you do everyday to make sure you are nourished?

I drink tons of purified water and have my Greens Balance shot with my probiotic in the mornings.

What makes you feel pretty?

Glowy skin, date night with a cute outfit with hair and makeup, fresh haircut, fresh face after a facial, or a compliment from my husband. Sometimes it’s just me- no makeup, workout clothes on, and a little lipstick does the trick.

What supplements do you take daily?

Oh man...I’m quite a supplement junkie and a firm believer since my body responds well to them. Most days I take the following:

Omega 3

Vitamin D: liquid by Thorne

Vitamin C

B Complex

5-MTHF: Thorne

Magnesium Citrate

Multi-Vitamin

GLA Complex

Prebiotic/probiotic blend w/ 11 digestive enzymes: by Arbonne

Whats a tip for new moms trying to get in a daily devotion?

MAKE time for it. If you breastfeed, instead of scrolling Instagram, grab your devotion and have your quiet time then. Schedule it on your Google Calendar and make an alarm for it, or write it down on a sticky note or somewhere you will remember it. Jesus first, then everything else. He controls the day, so let Him.

What is your favorite vegetable?

This is a tough one...I’m going to have to say spinach because there are so many ways to eat it or put it in things like smoothies, scrambles, open face sandwich, steamed, or topped on avocado toast.etc.

What is your favorite fruit?

Papaya most definitely...or a really juicy summer peach! Papaya also helped reduce my morning sickness in the first trimester because of its enzymes.
