Juicing vs blending.

WHICH IS BETTER JUICING OR BLENDING?

Let's be honest, getting out your juicer, making sure you have all the parts and enough produce, just to get started, IS HARD. IT is. That is what we are for.

When we are talking juicing vs. blending, juicing certainly takes the cake.. or cucumber in this case. Juice is easily broken down in the body, making the nutrients readily available. You are also able to drink more of it, making it easier to obtain high nutrient density in a small amount of liquid. This particular advantage is important for those with immune sensitivities, chronic diseases and cancer.  Is blending still good? Blending is spectacular! It is easy, fairly easy to clean up and you can use frozen products and less of it. It is incredibly practical (unless your an early riser....loud blenders at 5am = no bueno). Creating a go to smoothie recipe that will satisfy you will keep you committed, and consistency is key. Smoothies are also easy to share and fairly kid friendly. Some suggestions on blending: Keep a large quantity of frozen fruit and vegetables at home. This is such an easy trick, they don't spoil, and it will keep you excuse free.

Some frozen options:

  • spinach

  • strawberry

  • mango

  • pineapple

  • banana

  • kale

These are all affordable and will stay fresh for a long time should you get off track. Make sure however, you peel your bananas before you freeze them.

Other non frozen smoothie options:

  • cucumber

  • zucchini

  • lettuce

  • apple

  • cilantro

  • parsley

  • dates

Super food options:

  • Maca powder

  • Chlorella powder

  • Spirulina powder

  • Chia Seeds

  • Flax seeds

  • hemp seeds

  • phylium husks

  • pumpkin

  • pepitas

  • bee pollen

Did you try these? Show me your smoothie!
