DIY NON-TOXIC CLEANING PRODUCTS

People who are not fond of chemicals and want only organic cleansers for their home, know that this feat is almost next to impossible, but that amendments can be made. It is necessary to have something that kills bacteria as effectively as the chemical containing cleaners.

Here we introduce three Do-It-Yourself home cleaning solutions which you can make at home. These are great for killing germs in almost all parts of your house, are chemical-free and still work in the best way.

3 Ingredient Homemade Antibacterial Cleaner:

For the first antibacterial cleaner, things that you need are:

Measuring cup

Spray bottle: 16 oz, glass-made.

(The reason behind recommending a glass-made spray bottle is that essential oils usually pull out chemicals from the plastic bottles, contaminating your cleaner. Therefore, use a dark-colored; glass spray bottle).

Water: 3.5 cups.

White Vinegar: 0.5 cup.

Essential oils: 10-15 drops Lavender/Tea Tree oil from a reputable company for additional cleaning and scent)

How to mix it:

Add cold water to the glass spray bottle. Then add white vinegar, which is a natural deodorizer, and takes off grease nicely. Add essential oils and put the cap on. Shake well and you are good to go! Occasionally afterward, add drops of essential oil, for aroma and to freshen up the cleaner. You can also add a few drops of lemon oil, which is great for allergies. Essential oils are also antimicrobial, so this helps fight off bacteria.

This cleaner can be used anywhere: Bathrooms (sprinkle baking powder in the bowl and spray the cleaner on it. Let it sit for five minutes and then scrub with toilet brush), kitchen (cutting boards, cabinets, washbasin, etc), rooms (wood surfaces are good to go, but for marble and granite, this cleaner is not advisable, because vinegar is an aqueous solution of acetic acid and can etch the aforementioned surfaces.)

Baking Soda Homemade Cleaner:

Things that you need for this home cleaner are:

Baking soda: ½ cup

Clove essential oil: 10 drops.

Lemon essential oil: 10 drops.

Castile Soap: ¼ Dr. Bronner’s preferred.

Water: 4 cups

How to mix it:

Add cold water to the glass spray bottle. Separately mix baking soda with essential oils. Add the mixture to the spray bottle, then add castile soap and put the cap on. Now shake well. This cleaner can be used in sinks and bathrooms. Wipe afterward.

Home-made Heavy-Duty Kitchen Cleaner:

For this third cleaner, things that you need are:

Measuring cup.

Water: ¼ cup.

Baking soda: ¼ cup.

Natural Dish Soap: ¼ cup.

Clove Essential oil: 10-15 drops, from a reputable company.

How to mix it:

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl. Apply to the surface to be cleaned, whilst using the gritty side of a double-sided kitchen sponge. Scrub gently. Wipe up with a wet cloth afterward.

CAUTION: Can these be used around kids and pets?

Yes, these are safe to use around pets and children. Keep these mixtures away from small children, and do not let them play with the bottles. Vinegar and oils can hurt their eyes if they spray the mixture into their eyes accidentally. If your pet sneezes when you use the spray, dilute oils with more vinegar or oils.
